The Nike Ja 1 Light Silver is an athletic shoe featuring an upper in Light Silver mesh fabric, overlaid at the arch by leather in Cool Grey, which continues as midsole edging. The Swoosh on the sides encircles the heel, forming a tab, and a Cyber Green mid- and outsole combination adds a vivid pop. The heel tab and counter in Granite display Ja Morant and 12 branding, while the Ja 1 chevron logo appears on the tongue. American brand Nike has a long history of outfitting professional basketball players with signature shoes. The Ja 1 is the debut style designed for NBA player Temetrius Jamel Morant, known as Ja Morant, who was drafted by the Memphis Grizzlies in 2019. The Ja 1 made its first appearance on the court on December 25, 2022, when Morant s team played the Golden State Warriors.
