Details from two classic sneakers from the 2000s—the Gel-Nimbus 3 and the Gel-MC Plus V—are incorporated into the mixed-material upper. Cream overlay layers are attached to a cream mesh foundation that has metallic silver overlays. Cream is also displayed by the recognizable Formstripes, which weave a web over the quarter panels. The suede mudguard that encircles the shoe is one of the most striking design features. It matches the beige hues of the midsole and has the word « ASICS » written on it. With the tooling method derived from the Gel-Cumulus 16, the retro design gains a contemporary touch. The midsole has soft foam and gel inserts for enhanced cushioning.
