The « Aquarius Blue » edition of the Nike Air Max Plus has a plastic cage around the upper that looks like ripples, waves, or even palm fronds, just like previous iterations. This sneaker, which had Air units underfoot and a breathable mesh and synthetic upper, was first created as a performance running shoe. Lightweight cushioning is provided by the air units, which don’t make the foot feel heavy. The rubber outsole also provides traction and complements the arch of the foot. This design gives the sneaker an additional technological component while emulating the shape of a whale’s tail.
