The New Balance 990v1 Version 1 40th Anniversary features the distinguishing gray of New Balance. It is dressed with high-quality mesh beneath and premium suede overlays. The “N” insignia on the side is then adorned with sturdy leather fixtures, and the adjacent pairs are laces with strings. Finally, the upper bears a pack-exclusive “Version 1” tag in ruby red writing over the ecru midsoles and heel clips. The sneaker design features Abzorb cushioning with a freshly constructed midsole. Mesh panels and perforated uppers, complete the sneakers design. The New Balance 990v1 Version 1 40th Anniversary was released on the market on 17th June 2021. The sneaker retailed at $275.
