The New Balance 991v1 MiUK mfpen reworks a familiar Made in UK silhouette using materials already held at New Balances Flimby factory. For the brands first collaboration, mfpen selected surplus leather and mesh from earlier production, creating a limited run of just 90 pairs. That material choice gives this release a story that goes beyond its understated appearance. Tumbled nubuck, pig suede, and mesh form the tonal upper. Grey heel embroidery, an open mesh tongue, and restrained branding keep attention on the textures and construction. The “N” is debossed into the side panel using a thick-line stamp drawn from the factorys archive, a subtle detail that longtime New Balance fans may especially appreciate. The shoes were sold exclusively in person at mfpen Copenhagen and Dover Street Market London. Released on September 3, 2026, the New Balance 991v1 MiUK mfpen retailed for $290. With only 90 pairs made, its Flimby-sourced materials and archival branding make it a distinctive addition to a 991 collection.
