Description
“Hachi” is Japanese for eight, and “Orenji” is Japanese for orange. The Swatch x Audemars Piguet Bioceramic Royal Pop “Orenji Hachi” (SSX03L103N) is one of eight pocket watches in the Royal Pop collection, each named for the word “eight” in a different language, each carrying the eight visible hexagonal screws that define the AP Royal Oak bezel.
Orenji Hachi pairs a navy blue Bioceramic case with matching blue octagonal bezel and crown. The Grande Tapisserie dial carries Grade A Super-LumiNova hands and hour markers with blue light emission, protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. Eight orange hexagonal screws with a vertical satin finish complete the Royal Oak silhouette.
The movement is the first-ever hand-wound Sistem51. All previous Sistem51 movements, including MoonSwatch, were automatic. This version adds a Nivachron hairspring, 90-hour power reserve, and 15 patents in a Lépine layout with the crown at 12 o’clock. The transparent sapphire caseback showcases the movement alongside a digitally printed Pop Art design, with collaborative Swatch x AP branding on the dial, crown, and caseback.
Included: an 18cm blue calfskin lanyard with orange stitching, attached via a Bioceramic clip system.
