The upper on this New Balance 2002R was constructed out of a blend of suede and mesh to make it both durable and breathable. It also had Gore-Tex worked into the mix to make it waterproof. Even things like the tongue and laces were built to stand up to almost anything that Mother Nature might throw at them. But our favorite part about this NB sneaker was its overall appearance that emanated class without sacrificing its function. It allowed the sneaker to be dressed up or down without encountering any issues.
