This low-top sneaker, which was once created as an indoor handball shoe, modernizes aspects of its athletic past. The sneaker’s gum rubber outsole, for example, offers exceptional traction on indoor surfaces like hardwood. The Handball Spezial has a thicker sole than the Samba, which adds more cushioning. However, for a softer feel, dark Collegiate Navy suede is used in place of conventional nubuck on the top. The leather heel mustache, the tongue’s retro-inspired adidas branding, and the serrated 3-Stripes emblem are all adorned with Clear Sky pops.
