The Nike Air VaporMax Plus Aluminum takes the iconic silhouette of the Air Max Plus and updates it to enhance the spring in every step you take.The Aluminum colorway of the Nike Air VaporMax Plus features a cushiony fabric upper in gradient shades of gray, going from dark to light as you approach the toebox. Light silver-gray textile underlays are visible through windows dotting the upper. A glossy black TPU floating cage encases the midfoot, evoking palm trees and ocean waves. Flat black laces thread through the prongs of the cage, enhancing a snug fit over the midfoot. A bluish-gray Nike Swoosh hits the lateral collar and a pull tab at the heel eases on/off for this pair of kicks. What we find most innovative about this sneaker is the sole unit that attaches a Max Air unit directly to the upper, which increases the lighter-than-air feeling with each step. A midfoot carbon plate in the shape of the tail of a whale offers arch support and black rubber pods form the rugged outsole.
